Mala has a golden sable plush coat that is very thick. She has a beautiful tail which she holds out in a straight line from her body, and gorgeous markings. She has a medium soft temperament and is very gentle and sweet.

She loves people and while sometimes barking when a stranger appears at our gate, she always greets them upon entry with lavish kisses and energetic wags of her tail.

She does not like other dogs of her same size, but seems to get on better with small animals and large ones. We think that she still remembers when she was attacked in her youth by a neighborhood dog.

Mala is quite subservient to her "sister" Nahanni, but in spite of this always gets to her food first, steals Hanni's toys, and commandeers the water bowl.
