Winter Harbour Shilohs - ISSR Shiloh Shepherd Breeder - Granville Ferry Nova Scotia Canada

We live outside Victoria, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, a couple of hours by ferry north of Seattle and west of Vancouver. We are half an hour's drive north of this small city on a peninsula which is surrounded on three sides by water and forest. Our dogs swim in the sea and come with us out on the water in boats, canoes and kayaks. They love the walks in the woods and the trips into town.

We first discovered Shiloh Shepherds while on the internet two and a half years ago. I had had a German Shepherd twelve years ago and wanted another but with a more tranquil disposition. Our discovery of the Shiloh was the beginning of a new love affair for all of us. Nisga'a came to us in June of 2000 and Nahanni later that year. We have been so impressed with the dogs' sweetness, intelligence and companionship. None of us have ever had animals like this. They have become a huge part of our family.

We are a family of five, with 6 cats, 5 birds, and many frogs. Our Shilohs have their place in a real "pecking" order and it's not first! In fact, it's closer to the bottom with several birds holding higher positions. Maybe they are more polite as a consequence!
